Honoring the ancient tradition of
women singing at life’s thresholds.

The HeartSong Singers’ (formerly Threshold Singers) mission is to share our compassionate voices raised for people at life’s thresholds. The voice, as the original human instrument, is a true and gracious vehicle for compassion and comfort.

When invited, we visit the bedside with two to four singers and we invite families and caregivers to join us in song or to participate by listening. We offer a special repertoire of gentle songs from a variety of traditions to comfort and bring peace.

Anyone in the community may request our singing for a friend, relative, or hospice patient. The service is our gift; there is no charge.

We are open to new members joining us in song, and would love to hear from you.

It is easy to become involved as a singer! It is not necessary to read music, and our songs are generally short and simple. New singers will typically want to learn many of our songs before going to bedside, and the easiest way to do this is to come to HSSO rehearsals which happen twice a month, generally on Sunday afternoons.

The HeartSong Singers of Southern Oregon provides opportunities for women to share the gifts of their voices in compassion and truth at life’s thresholds; a sacred, delightful way to build community and be part of a unique, co-created adventure.
