Donny Roze, with his wife Cate, founded Heart and Hope Musical Ministries. Donny has worked as a Music Therapist for the last twelve years, he has a B.A. in Music and Psychology, a K-9 teaching credential with a music endorsement, and he served as an Elementary School Music Specialist for fourteen years. He also has spent twenty-five years as a professional entertainer. Donny is devoted to promoting a life-enriching, interactive, musical program of love, hope, comfort, humor and healing for vulnerable people including the frail and elderly and those with special needs. The program seeks to enhance their quality of life and share music in a compassionate, attentive and nurturing way. Without regard for race, religion, gender, ethnicity, or financial status, the program provides specially selected music and a bit of humor to give comfort and emotional support to those who hear it.
Heart & Hope Music honors many musical traditions and shares folk songs, jazz standards, old time favorites, humorous hits, patriotic songs, interfaith spirituals and special holiday songs. It serves Adult Foster Care Homes, Assisted Living Facilities, Hospitals, Retirement Centers, Nursing Homes and other Elder Care settings throughout the Rogue Valley. Our desire is to extend this charitable work by educating, training and hiring therapists, facilitators, performers and volunteers.
