Imagine the magic of small children dancing to an upbeat jazz tune, grandparents tearing up during a romantic classic violin piece, musicians inspired, and visitors impressed by our local talent! Mix that with a captivating presentation and put it into a non-profit group that supports passion for excellence and you have the Siskiyou Violins!

Under the instruction of Ashland violin instructor, Faina Podolnaya, the Siskiyou Violins has developed a reputation for excellence. Siskiyou Violins won its first Gold Medal against stiff international competition at Carnegie Hall in 2005. This feat was repeated by the group in 2008 at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, again at Carnegie Hall in 2012, and most recently in 2014 in a return to the Walt Disney Concert Hall.

Siskiyou Violins encourages excellence in learning, instruction in music and the arts across Southern Oregon. It supports the community by playing at benefits locally, offering access to educational opportunities and encouraging members to perform in school settings and to join the Youth Symphony of Southern Oregon. Many of its members have played with the local Rogue Valley Symphony Orchestra and gone on to become professional soloists, violin teachers, and symphony players.
